One of the most popular attractions of the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, Tambourine National Park is a peaceful green oasis towering 500 metres above sea level. The reserve consists of 14 diverse parcels of land, networked with hundreds of miles of hiking tracks just begging to be explored.
On a sunny Queensland afternoon, you can pack a picnic and head out on one of Tambourine’s nine walking tracks, which range from easy to challenging with some steep grades. Many of the trails weave though tranquil palm groves and fragrant red cedar forests to spectacular mountain lookout points. Cedar Falls is a peaceful spot to rest awhile and take in the sights and sounds of the rainforest – if you’re quiet, you might be lucky enough to spot a platypus gliding through the water. Head to the Knoll for a an unforgettable picnic overlooking Witches Falls and look out for tree frogs, wallabies, rainbow lorikeets and butcher birds along the way.
Tambourine is just one of the many spectacular National Parks within easy driving distance of Mardi Gras Broadbeach holiday accommodation.
